Horseback Riding
Margherita and Vincenzo, and their horses are
waiting for you at the Centro Equitazione Il Fregione, where you
will find a friendly and warm atmosphere.
Vincenzo
(an E.N.G.E.A. Instructor and Superior Equestrian Guide) will lead
you through breathtaking itineraries so that you may become
acquainted with the famous Land of the Etruscans, following routes
that are accessible to both expert riders and simple amateurs.
Indeed, their horses were all born on their stock farm and
personally trained by Messrs. Alfano, so they are very reliable, but
also give great satisfaction to skilled horse-riders. Margherita
will take care of the young (E.N.G.E.A. Environmental Equestrian
Guide and Recreational Horseback Riding Operator for the Disabled).
With her experience, she adopts a fun, new approach to teaching
riding, putting the child in contact with his horse/friend.
The rates depends of
itinerary:
1 hour Stroll on the hills around the riding facility € 15
2 hours Trekking through Villamagna, visit at the "Pozzaie" and back

3 hours Trekking with visit at the Sanctuary of the "Pietrina" € 43

Proposal: week-end Programme - Duration: 3
days
1st day:
Arrival at the Centro Equitazione Il Fregione and assignment of the
horses. One-hour stroll on the hills around the Centre.
2nd day:
Two-hour horseback excursion through the village of Villamagna.
Visit at the "Pozzaie" sulphureous water springs.
3rd day:
Trekking on horseback for three hours, with visit at the Sanctuary
of the Pietrina. Total price€ 85,00
Proposal: week Programme - Duration: 7 days
1st day:
Arrival at Borgoiano and settling down in the apartments.
2nd day:
Transfer to the Centro di Equitazione "Il Fregione" (6 Km. from
Borgoiano). Getting acquainted with the assigned horse and visit of
the "Centre". One-hour stroll on the neighbouring hills.
3rd day:
Two-hour tour on horseback through the Village of Villamagna. Visit
at the “Pozzaie” sulphureous water springs. On the way back,
stopover at the “Fattoria Rezzo"
for "wine and oil tasting".
4th day:
"Trekking on horseback" for three hours on the hills surrounding
Villamagna
going toward Iano. Visit at the Sanctuary of the “Pietrina”. Snack
in the small clearing
in font of the Sanctuary.
5th day:
Four hours of "Trekking on horseback" at the foot of the Colle
Volterrano,
along the rivers and lakes surrounding the Val d’Era. Lunch on the
way.
6th day:
Five hours of "Trekking on horseback" to the
"Cascatelle", the source of the
river Era. Snack in the woods. Country-style evening with dinner at
the "Centro di
Equitazione".
7th day:
Choice between: a relaxing day at Borgoiano or the whole day on
horseback with lunch break in Località Sensano – departure at 09:00
and return at 19:00 (extra € 65.00).
