AUTUMN WEEKEND
You will experience traditional tuna fishing, grape harvesting,
chestnut, mushroom, olive picking, and terracotta pottery making.
You will participate in all those activities and will bring home
unforgettable memories.
We will also teach you the secrets of our cuisine with a brief
hands-on course.
You can also experience pottery making.
September sun is even more beautiful in Cilento. The beaches are
empty, the sunset is magical, the crimson autumn forest is
unbelievable. September vacations are exciting.
Tuna Fishing
Friday afternoon: Welcome, Happy Hour and check in. Tour to Palinuro
and Marina di Camerota.
Dinner at the ranch.
Saturday:
- 5:15am: Breakfast
- 6:00am: Departure for the fishing expedition with local fishermen.
Wear waterproof clothes. Bring your camera or camcorder.
- 1:00pm: Return to the ranch for lunch
- 3:30pm: Participate in fish preservation activity
- 6:30pm: Fish dinner
- 9:00pm: games and prizes
Sunday:
- 7:30am: Breakfast
- 8:30am: Excursion to the Park
- 1:00pm: Return to the ranch for lunch
- 4:30pm: Guest departure
Chestnut and Mushroom Picking
Friday afternoon: Welcome, Happy Hour, and check in. Dinner and
games.
Saturday:
- 7:30: Breakfast and departure to the woods for chestnut and
mushroom picking.
- 1:00pm: Return to the ranch.
- 1:30pm: Lunch
- 5:00pm: Chestnut and mushroom cooking classes. Culinary
competition.
- 8:00pm: Dinner and tasting of competition dishes
- 9:30pm: Music and awards
Sunday:
- 7:30am: Breakfast
- 8:30am: Excursion to Mount San Antonio. Hike on the old road from
Camerota to Palinuro.
- 1:30pm: Return to the ranch for lunch
- 4:30pm: Guest departure
Olive Picking
Friday afternoon: Welcome, Happy Hour and check in. Dinner.
- 9:30pm: Surprise evening
Saturday:
- 7:30am: Breakfast and departure to the woods for chestnut and
mushroom picking.
- 8:30am: Departure to the olive groove for olive picking. The
olives will then be taken to the press. Each participant will
receive 50% of their pick in oil.
- 1:30pm: Picnic lunch
- 6:00pm: Return to the ranch
- 8:00pm: Dinner
- 9:30pm: Games and prizes
Sunday:
- 7:30am: Breakfast
- 8:30am: Excursion to Mount S. Iconio for licorice picking..
- 1:30pm: Return to the ranch for lunch
- 3:00pm: Visit licorice factory "Tradizioni Cilentane" in S. Mauro
la Bruca and liquor tasting. Preparation for liquor making.
Lamparata
(Night fishing)
Friday afternoon: Welcome, Happy Hour and check in. Dinner
- 9:30pm: Surprise evening
Saturday:
- 8:30am: Breakfast
- 9:30am: Departure to Marina di Camerota
- 1:30pm: Picnic lunch at Pollazzo beach. Visit the Grotta
- 4:00pm: Return to the ranch and rest
- 8:00pm: Departure to Lamparata
- 9:30pm: Night fishing starts
- 11:30pm: Dinner based on catch.
- 2:00am: Return to the ranch
Sunday:
- 8:00am: Breakfast - Free morning
- 1:00pm: Lunch
